Yufang Lu, MD, PhD

Dr. Lu has served as Chief Medical Officer of Imagene since 2023. Dr. Lu brings more than 20 years of experience in drug development and medical affairs. She has successfully led clinical development for both small molecules and biologics across diverse therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, dermatology, allergy, and rheumatology. Prior to Imagene, Dr. Lu was Vice President of Clinical Development at Celldex Therapeutics, where she drove the advancement of innovative immunology assets, including barzolvolimab. When at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as an Executive Director in Medical Affairs Immunology, she led cross-functional medical teams, in collaboration with Sanofi team, in the global launches of Dupixent® in atopic dermatitis and asthma. Earlier in her career, she held roles in clinical development and medical affairs at Celgene, Eisai US, and GlaxoSmithKline. DR. Lu received her Bachelor of Medicine (MD equivalent) from Nanjing Medical University with clinical training in Dermatology and a PhD in Toxicology with a specialization in Cellular & Molecular Toxicology from Texas A&M University.
